The Aquamarine is placed in a quaint alley right in the town-centre of Taormina, a few steps away from the elegant main boulevard Corso Umberto, the Duomo and the teatro greco (Greek theatre), the latter being the historical venue for shows and events, often starring world-renowned artists. All around, Taormina is a blooming of monuments, alleys, flowered courtyards, cafés, restaurants, boutiques and visitors from all over world.

Taormina is a small town with 10.000 inhabitants, placed on the eastern coast of Sicily, 40 kilometres from Messina. The most famous tourist resort of Sicily is situated 200 metres above sea level, high on the top of a hill, overlooking one of the most beautiful landscapes of the world. The majestic Aetna, the wonderful bay of Isola Bella and the bays of Mazzarò and Giardini Naxos form an enchanting background to the ancient Greek theatre. Along the streets of the downtown area - composed of characteristic panoramic terraces, flights of steps and ancient narrow roads full of elegant boutiques - nobody is left untouched by the surreal atmosphere of history and beauty.

The house is the result of the restoration of an ancient shop and distinguishes itself for the linearity of its structure. The lodging is comfortable and stands out owing to the peculiarity of the materials - coatings coming from the local handicraft, Sicilian terra cotta in the pavements, lava stone on the stairs - and to the traditional as well as modern style furnishings chosen with particular care by the owner. The ground floor comprises a daylight zone including a fitted kitchen corner in brickwork, while the upper floor contains a sober bedroom looking on to the life of Taormina by means of a cute small balcony. A stereophonic system allows the appreciation of music inside of all the rooms.
