Modica Villas and Holiday Apartments

Modica is a beautiful Baroque city of the Southeast with around 55,000 inhabitants. The city was founded around 1031 BC and was inhabited by the Sicels. In 1296 Modica became the capital of an important county which was under the Chiaramonte family, and became a flourishing semi-independent state .  The town’s income today is mainly from agriculture (Carob trees, olives and grains and vegetables). Typical specialities of the town include the famous Modican chocolate and chocolate liqueur.  Modica is a stunning traditional looking town and a popular holiday destination for those interested in the Baroque but also for exploring the Southeast of Sicily and the beaches of the South-eastern coast.
