Any personal data you give us will be used in order to respond fully to your enquiry, to make a booking with us, or to send you appropriate electronic marketing offers if you have chosen to receive these. Your details are stored securely on our database. Under no circumstances will we pass your personal information to any organization that is not directly involved in your booking e.g. where applicable owner, agency, taxi driver, tour guide etc.
For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998, we at iLodge AG are a data controller. This means that in order to process your booking we need to collect certain personal details from you ahead of your stay. These details include your name and contact details such as home address, mobile number and email address and your age. We will also require information of your party members. We keep these details including the booking date, the apartment or villa you booked and the rate you paid on our booking database. If you provide them, we may also keep information about any special requirements you had e.g. restricted mobility, medical condition.
We collect this data because we are required by law to give your service provider e.g. owner, agency a record of who (name and full postal address) is staying with them. We also need these details to process your booking and to help us determine where our guests come from.
For the purpose of maintaining and billing your account we also store your credit card details. Your credit card will only then be charged in the event that we have not received payments within the agreed time limit or if you have opted to pay with that particular credit card.
Your credit card details are stored on a secure server in the UK. The card information is encrypted and only made available to us for services ordered e.g. booking deposit, booking remainder.
If you do not wish to receive any marketing updates then we will not send you any. We will only contact you (always by email) if you have asked us to so (and we never send anything to your home address).
If you do opt-in and change your mind, it is very easy to opt out again by either contacting us direcly and making the request or by logging into your account with us online.
You have the right to know what we store about you
We have appropriate security measures in place to protect all your data. You are entitled to ask us (by letter or e-mail) what details of yours are being held or processed, for what purpose and to whom they may be or have been disclosed. We promise to respond to your request within 3 days of receiving your written request.
