The historical town of Menfi is one of the best destinations in Sicily to experience the laid-back traditional culture of the island. A sleepy and historical town, lying just 75 kilometres away from the magnificent Agrigento and the world famous Valley of the Temples, Menfi holidays are ideal for exploring the fascinating archaeological ruins of Sicily and uncover-ing the island’s rich past. The ancient city of Selinunte isn’t far away either, making Menfi the perfect location to immerse yourself in local Sicilian life whilst still enjoying great ac-cess to some of Sicily’s greatest historical attractions. The traditional buildings of Menfi hug a coastline littered with beautiful, long, sandy beaches – sun worshippers will delight in the azure tones of the Mediterranean Sea. Additionally, this part of Sicily is famous for its delectable seafood and is also home to the largest grape-growing region in Italy – the Mazara Valley.

Also "The Guardian" likes our Villas near Menfi and the "Lido Fiori Beach", one of the most beautiful beaches all over the World. Villa Le Dune is a bright, contemporary holiday home, which takes its name from the sandy beach dunes of Lido Fiori. Barbecue or relax and read on the spacious terraces whilst the lush Mediterranean garden makes an excellent playground for kids. Menfi is ideally situated to discover the wine country of Sicily’s ‘wild west’. The heart of the wine growing region is located between Salemi and Marsala but the vineyards stretch all the way towards Menfi, nestled between the ancient sites of Segesta and Selinunte. Visit a winery to sample some of the hearty wines that are produced in this region – many are used to fortify weaker creations produced in northern Italy. However, Sicily has been undergoing something of a wine renaissance with its rich soil and temperate climate providing excellent conditions for a number of great grape varieties to thrive.
Our Menfi villas offer excellent access to some of Sicily’s most famous archaeological sites. Discover the magnificent temples of Agrigento – arrive in the early morning to admire the Temple of Concordia in the dawn light and visit the wild sprawl of ruins that make up the ancient city of Selinunte. Additionally, the lone temple of Segesta isn’t far away and its hilltop Greek theatre makes for a great excursion.
This part of the Sicilian coast is renowned for its splendid sweeps of sand, perfect for picnics, sun-bathing and taking a refreshing dip in the shimmering waters. Porto Palo is one of the main beaches near Menfi, with a picturesque harbour bustling with bars and restaurants as well as lovely south-facing beaches.
After a stay in a Menfi villa, perhaps move on to the historical mountain town of Erice and take a step back in time amongst its winding lanes and cobbled streets. Alternatively, travel west to Marsala or Mazara del Vallo to enjoy succulent seafood and explore flourishing vineyards, or journey to the seaside resorts of Trapani or San Vito Lo Capo for more sun, sea and sand.
